Why I built it
I love my Tonverk, and I kept wanting the same things around it: slicing loops into kits without a trip through a DAW, bringing my sampled instruments across whole, and moving a pattern from one project to another, effects and all.
So I built Overlook. It works with the files on your Tonverk's card — kits, instruments, wavetables, and projects — and everything it writes is something the Tonverk loads like its own.
What it does
Slice loops on a grid or by hand, or build factory-style kits from one-shots. Velocity layers, round robins, and a sequencer that previews the kit the way Subtracks plays it.
Map a folder of samples to keys, spread one-shots one per key, or turn a recording of someone playing up a scale into key zones. Sequence notes, chords, and lengths before anything goes on the card.
Converts SFZ, Decent Sampler, and Logic Sampler (EXS) instruments into .elmulti files, folding includes, defines, and keyswitches into a mapping the Tonverk loads. Batch-convert a whole folder.
Nine generators plus extraction from your own samples, always saved with the _wt filename the Tonverk reads the wave size from.
Open two projects side by side, see every pattern and track, and copy a pattern with its trigs, locks, conditions, machines, and effects — within a project or into another one.
Read a track's TRIG, SRC, FLTR, AMP, FX, and MOD pages laid out as on the machine, in the same units. Change values on the Mac and write them back.

OPEN
Open any .eldrum or .elmulti on the card to see and hear every region. Tested on a full card: 265 of 266 kits read back identical, field for field.
SEND
Send a kit to the card, or make a new project with it on a track and the pattern already in it — ready to load.
COPY
The kits, instruments, samples, and wavetables a pattern uses come with it, shared with the target project where it already has them.
Safety first
Anything that writes into a project backs the whole project up to your Mac before it touches it.
Nothing on the card is overwritten without asking — and it names every project that uses a kit before you replace it.
Projects are checked before every write. A damaged one is flagged, never written to, and can be rebuilt as a new project.
Everything is flushed to the card, and the app tells you when it's actually safe to eject.
