Ottava is an 8-voice analog-style synth with a built-in scope, so you can see every change you hear. Learn synthesis one knob at a time, roll random sounds by type, and render your own one-shots and sample packs in a click.
What it does
Five views: each oscillator on its own, the finished sound, the filter's frequencies with the cutoff marked, and the envelope with a dot following every note. Turn a knob and watch what changes.
Bass, lead, pad, keys, pluck, FX, drone and a full drum kit, all set to the same loudness. Every preset names the knob to try first, and the Tour walks through the synth one control at a time.
Click RANDOM, or the scope, for a new patch. Choose a type — kick, snare, hat, bass, pad, FX and more — and every roll stays in that lane. Undo puts the last sound back.
One click saves the current sound as a WAV, trimmed and normalised. Or render 10, 20 or 50 random kicks at once, each with its preset beside it. 24-bit at 44.1, 48 or 96 kHz.
Kicks, snare, clap, rim shot, open and closed hats, tambourine, shaker, tom, conga, cowbell, woodblock and crash. Every one is a clean one-shot, tuned and ready to play on C2.

Two band-limited oscillators with six waveforms, a sub and four colours of noise. A diode low-pass plus four more filter types, a tunable comb filter, two LFOs, and stereo unison.
Eight voices, velocity, sustain pedal, mod-wheel vibrato and pitch bend. Unison plays legato and glides between overlapping notes. Right-click any control to assign a MIDI knob.

The tuning stays where you put it, so you can play every preset in 19-EDO, 22-EDO or Just Intonation. Four presets are built on these tunings to get you started, and the guide shows the chord shapes for each.
Your sounds
Anything you record or render with Ottava belongs to you, royalty-free — including sounds made from the factory presets and the randomiser. Use them in your own music, or sell and share samples, one-shots and sample packs made with it. No credit required. The only thing this doesn't cover is Ottava itself: the plugin and its factory preset files.
